Happy Halloween everyone –  only one more day to go!

We LOVE Halloween in our house and look forward to our family Halloween Traditions – HORROR MOVIE & HALLOWEEN TREATS and now that two of the kids are older (sorry Andy and Dan – few more years to go) , we have Halloween Cocktails too!

So I have one more Halloween bake to share SPOOKY HALLOWEEN MUFFINS and this one is definitely one of the Halloween treats for tomorrow.

This muffin is super easy & fast to make especially with the help of the Andrew James Hand Blender. This little dynamo is  super fast for a hand blender and with it’s 500ml bowl, this mini food processor attachment makes fast work of chopping the Oreo biscuits.  The whisk was great for mixing the melted butter & milk and with it’s 5 speed control and turbo function there was no splash back!!!

The muffin recipe is simple, I used my basic chocolate muffin recipe but added some crushed Oreo biscuits for some crunch and  chocolate chips for more extra chocolicious goodness. It is Halloween after all!. TO give then that “Spooky Halloween Feel” melt some marshmallows in the microwave (about 40 seconds). LET IT COOL!!! Then using your fingers pull the marshmallow into a spider’s web and stick on top of the muffin.  YES it is messy and the melted marshmallow sticks everywhere, you gotta be fast doing this. They take about 20mins to bake and less than 5 mins to eat.

The Andrew James Blender is definitely a very handy tool to have in the kitchen, especially when you don’t want to pull out the big food processor for those little jobs.  This little machine is versatile, strong and easy to clean. It comes with 4 attachments and has a lovely sleek stainless steel design.
